This year the ‘Mainly for Women’ Trade Show was again another huge success. There were 66 vendors, 41 returning vendors and 25 new vendors. The delicious food available was of many choices. There were also four presentations throughout the day which were well attended.
Annual +50 Anniversary Tea
The WOW members were delighted to serve the strawberry shortcake, cookies, tea and coffee for the many senior couples that were celebrating more than 50 years of marriage, held at the Senior Centre on Sunday, Feb 17, 2019.
2018 WOW Education Award Recipient
This award of $1,000 is now four years old. It was created to be given to a woman who has decided to further her education to enrich and improve the quality of life for herself and her family.
WOW was delighted to present the 2018 Education Award to ROCHELLE NEWSTEAD, who is in the final semester of the Practical Nursing Program, and will graduate in May. She lives in Oliver with her husband and four children. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
