Are you a local (or not so local 😊) looking for a deal or something unusual or an outing for the day? Are you new to the area and want to know more about services available in the community? Mark March 28 on your calendar and head down to the Oliver Recreation Centre for a day of exploring what’s available in our community.

We are pleased to welcome the following new vendors: Gaynor with Highway to Healing, Samantha with InnerVisions Salon Inc., Patricia with Hand crafted Art, Kim with Community Foundation South Okanagan Similkameen, Sandra with a variety of small items.  We look forward to your participation in the Trade Show for many years to come.

For those who are new to the area, all funds raised by WOW remain in the community to support women and children.

Last year we had many complaints about no parking available; this later date means that we are not competing for parking with any other major events at the Rec Center.

There are about 5 weeks until the show. Vendors: Have you booked your table? There are only a limited number of tables remaining to be booked. We are really excited to have new vendors Paula with Paula’s Pendants & Gems, and Amanda with Quail & Vine.

Desert Sun Counselling & SOS Medical Foundation will have representatives to explain their programs. These organizations will split the income from the donation jar at the entrance. Please give generously to support our community.

Did you know the money raised from the Trade Show and other activities support a number of additional organizations within our community: Parks & Rec Summer Fun Program, Starfish Backpack program, Oliver Ambassadors, 232 Bighorn Squadron Air Cadets, Okanagan College Foundation (Bursary), Oliver Food Bank and additional requests for one-off funding.

WOW ladies enjoyed an afternoon of pot luck lunch and a “get to know you” bingo. We had fun figuring out who was the night owl, loved scary movies, owned a business, was left-handed and another 20 questions. It was a wonderful opportunity to discover more about each other and share great food and lots of laughter. Thanks to the Social Committee for organizing the event at the Quail’s Nest. A special thanks to all the ladies who brought plates of appys and desserts to share.
