CHRISTMAS AUCTION

Posted On: December 2, 2024

Our Christmas Auction, held on November 24, 2024 was a success by many standards. 98 invited guests and members attended and shared an afternoon of fun and socializing.

Invitees were asked to bring donations for the Food Bank and the Women’s Safe House.  We were amazed at the generosity of our attendees. We collected 87 kg of food. We also collected more than 50 assorted toys/books, more than 400 toiletries of various sizes; at least 50 pairs of socks all sizes; 30+ pairs of underwear; as well as pyjamas, scarves, mittens, slippers and sweaters and one box of gift type items. There was also a $50 cheque for the safe home.

Our final numbers are not complete; however, we also raised over $2000 for our ongoing support of community organizations. Listed below are a number of the organizations we currently or have recently supported.

Desert Sun Counseling                                               Oliver Food Bank

Spirit of Christmas                                                      Starfish Backpack Program
